Saint Mary’s Hospital Foundation, Inc., Trinity Health

Have a Heart. Save a Life.

In March of 2007, Saint Mary’s Hospital dedicated
the J. Robert Anthony, MD, FACC Cardiac Center in
recognition of his many achievements. Dr. J. Robert
Anthony, FACC, joined Saint Mary’s in 1972, served as
Chief of Cardiology and continues to serve in an emeritus
status. As a visionary and leader, he was acknowledged
by his peers as the Dean of Cardiology in Greater
Waterbury. In addition to building a full-service cardiac
program at the hospital, Dr. Anthony was responsible for
the development of the first mobile Coronary Care Unit in
New England to bring health care into our community.

A beautiful heart plaque was established outside of
the Cardiac Center in honor of Dr. Anthony. With gifts of
$500 or more, your name will be placed on a heart and
added to this special plaque. Proceeds from the sale of
these hearts will benefit the Center to provide a modern,
safe and secure setting to treat cardiac patients. In
addition, the enclosed insert allows space for you to share
your story with us. Your story will mean a great deal to our
caregivers and to those who may be considering
Saint Mary’s Hospital as their destination of care.
