Mandell MS Center
Our Vision for Localized, Comprehensive Treatment
Saint Mary’s Hospital has the opportunity to partner with The Joyce D. and Andrew J. Mandell Center for Comprehensive Multiple Sclerosis Care and Neuroscience Research – an internationally-recognized facility at Mount Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital in Hartford – and establish a new, dedicated MS treatment center at Saint Mary’s Hospital.
The Together Effect Makes MS Easier to Manage
See how a dedicated MS center close to Jenifer's home could make a major difference in the quality of her life.
Together, An Impact on Hundreds
According to the Connecticut Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, an estimated one thousand people with MS reside in the greater Waterbury region. Given that there are no local MS centers, individuals with MS must travel to centers in and out of Connecticut for their regular therapy or treatment – often travelling an hour each way on a weekly or monthly basis.
With a dedicated MS treatment center at Saint Mary’s Hospital, neurologists, physiatrists, urologists and infusion specialists – as well as physical, occupational and speech therapists – will work together to provide continuity of care in a local setting.
