Carmelina Calabrese coordinates and oversees the Foundation's Grant application and management process. She identifies new funding sources, develops funding for existing and proposed programs and/or services, writes grants and collaborates on grant application with various community organizations and processing. Additionally, Carmelina helps to identify and cultivate major gifts for the Foundation. Prior to joining the Foundation, Carmelina worked for the Archdiocese of Hartford, stationed at St. John the Evangelist church in Watertown. There, she was the Grant Writer, Director of Faith Formation and responsible for the Bereavement Ministry.
Carmelina is an active volunteer, preparing meals for the homeless at the St. Vincent DePaul shelter in Waterbury, and serving on many committees. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management with a concentration in Finance from Teikyo Post University; A C.O.R.E. certificate from Providence RI.
