Become a "Friend" of the Dorothy Hamill Women fore Women Golf Tournament

Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer among American women, except for skin cancer, yet only 60 percent of “insured” women and just over 40 percent of “uninsured” women have annual mammograms.

Saint Mary’s Hospital is dedicated to providing the highest quality care for all women regardless of their ability to pay. Free breast cancer screenings are offered at the Family Health Center for women age 40 or older who have insurance that does not cover mammograms, who have insurance deductible of $1,000 or more or who are uninsured. The cost to the Foundation to provide these mammograms is $75.

You can help to underwrite the cost of a mammogram for a woman who would otherwise be unable to afford this potentially life-saving screening by participating as a “friend” of the Dorothy Hamill Women fore Women Golf Tournament. This annual event will take place on Monday June 7, 2010 at the Country Club of Waterbury. Please consider a donation so that you can help us reach our goal of $55,000 to fund this beneficial test.
