Monday, June 6 will mark the 4th Annual Dorothy Hamill Women fore Women Golf Tournament at the Country Club of Waterbury, benefiting the Mammography Fund at Saint Mary’s Hospital. The event, which was chaired by Olympic Gold Medalist Dorothy Hamill along with Mary Wiatr and Chris Geraghty, raised over $65,000 in 92010 to support women in need of mammograms and other potentially life saving breast cancer screenings.

Almost 200 women from the Greater Waterbury Community are expected to play and enjoy a day of golf, girlfriends and give-a-ways. Some of the prize packages are expected to include Coach bags and apparel, Vera Bradley, a Flip Video Camcorder, spa accommodations and JetBlue Airline tickets. Once again this year, we will be hosting the very successful Evening Reception following the afternoon flight. Golfers and non golfers alike are welcome to gather at the Country Club of Waterbury for cocktails and hors d'oeuvres in support of this important cause.

Each golfer who participates in the tournament will underwrite the cost of two mammograms while each ticket purchased for the Evening Reception will underwrite the cost of one. More than 500 women from the Greater Waterbury Community will benefit from the money raised at this year’s event.
